This painting depicts designs associated with the clay pan site of Watanuma, north-west of the Kintore Community.  The roundels in the work represent water holes within the bed of the lake. A group of women camped at this site before travelling to the rock hole site of Malparingya and continuing east to Pinari, also north-west of Kintore. While at Watanuma, they made spun hair string for making hair-string skirts which are worn during ceremonies.  These are represented by the lines with the adjacent short bars.
